Jaclyn Dunn is a Clinical Taxonomy Specialist for Candello and performs review and analysis of medical malpractice claims/cases. Using the Clinical Coding Taxonomy, Jaclyn identifies areas of risk and opportunities for safety improvement. By providing a pertinent overview of care and applying applicable code sets to capture circumstances, she is able to identify factors that contributed to allegations, injuries or initiation of claims.
Jaclyn is a registered nurse with over 15 years of in-patient experience in adult medicine. She also holds advanced practice certification in Women’s Healthcare, as a board certified WHNP. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College in Psychology and English (1999) and a Master of Science (MS) Degree in Nursing from Boston College (2005), as a graduate of their accelerated Direct Entry Nursing Program. What gets me excited about my work?
Still feeling connected to patients when I read medical and legal files as I code, knowing their stories will eventually help to improve safety outcomes and quality of care.
On the weekends, you’ll find me...
Depending on the season, on a court/in a rink/or on a field cheering on one of my 4 sons as they participate in one of many athletic activities!
