Shelly Bondurant is the Clinical Coding Manager for Candello, providing clinical direction and leadership to the national team of Clinical Taxonomy Specialists on the application of the clinical coding taxonomy to the Candello data base and convening community. She is responsible for monitoring the application and methodology surrounding the use of the taxonomy, as well as the quality and consistency of the coding process. Michelle manages the Candello coding team, and acts as a resource to all coders within the Candello Convene network. She is responsible for training, education, and auditing, and serves as subject matter expert in the analysis of the coding elements.
She is accountable for the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the clinical coding taxonomy in ensuring that continued relevance and improvements are addressed and incorporated.
Ms. Bondurant is an RN with a clinical background in Obstetrics and NICU. She has held a Certification in Case Management as well as in Paralegal studies. She also has a background in clinical quality improvement and analytics where she is able to bring her experience of risk and data review to aide in the assurance of data quality within the application of the Clinical Coding Taxonomy.
