Ann Leone serves as a Clinical Taxonomy Specialist for Candello. In this role, Ms. Leone reviews and analyzes medical malpractice claims, identifies areas of risk and opportunities for improvement initiatives, creates comprehensive clinical narratives and assigns applicable code sets using Candello’s proprietary Clinical Coding Taxonomy.
Ms. Leone began her career as a clinical nurse and then became responsible for nursing education and quality improvement. Thereafter, she held positions in hospital risk management, quality improvement and informatics. In hospital administration, she had operational responsibility for numerous clinical and non-clinical departments, performance improvement, patient safety programs and hospital accreditation.
Ann received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University and a Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing Administration with a minor in Business Administration from Widener University.
