The Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA) Showcase Awards recognized Candello for its exceptional efforts to educate and support health care professionals as they navigate the myriad challenges of telehealth care delivery.

Recognizing the rising adoption of telehealth and the myriad challenges presented to patients, providers, and healthcare systems, TDC Group and Candello have collaborated on an educational video series entitled “What NOT to Do: Telehealth Lessons Learned.”

I-PASS, a clinical leader partnering with hundreds of hospitals and specialties as their go-to method for reducing patient harm, was recently featured in the “Frequency and Nature of Communication and Handoff Failures in Medical Malpractice Claims” study published in the Journal of Patient Safety. When investigating 498 medical malpractice claims, selected at random from Candello, the study found that approximately 40% of the cases that involved communication failures included a handoff of care, 77% of which were likely preventable with a handoff tool.

Candello won NESHCo Silver Lamplighter Award for its online Candello Community, a forum created to facilitate communication and sharing of data, tools, and best practices among its clients.

The American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) has granted the ASHRM Writing Excellence Award to the journal article, “Harnessing the Power of Medical Malpractice Data to Improve Patient Care,” by authors from Candello and UMass Memorial Health Care, Inc.
